Porcelain Veneers Shelby Township, MI
Dental veneers are made from porcelain in our Shelby Township dental office. Porcelain veneers resist stains and mimic the light reflecting properties of your natural teeth very well. Our dentists can match the shade of dental veneers to that of your natural teeth. A shade of veneers can even be selected that will lighten your teeth. Your gums will tolerate porcelain dental veneers well, so there will be no discomfort after placement. Dental veneers are a conservative way to improve the beauty of your smile. They do not require as much tooth enamel removal as dental crowns do. However, they are stronger and more aesthetic.
There are many advantages to having porcelain dental veneers placed, particularly in our office. Our dentists offer both traditional and prepless veneers for your benefit. We are also proud to provide CEREC veneers. This means that you can receive veneers in a single appointment instead of multiple appointments. With veneers, your smile can look its best. There is no need to hide your smile or be embarrassed to smile when you have the smile of your dreams. Drs. McKinley and Holloway provide customized treatment so you can reach your ideal smile.

Dental Veneers FAQs
Interested in enhancing your smile with porcelain dental veneers? Read our FAQs to find out more before you make your appointment.
What is the difference between traditional and prepless dental veneers?
With traditional veneers, the tooth or teeth need to be slightly altered to allow room for the dental veneers in the mouth. Prepless veneers use a very thin layer of porcelain so only minimal, if any, tooth preparation is needed before placement.
What should I expect?
Unless a prepless dental veneer is being used, the tooth will be shaped to allow the veneer to be placed. An impression of the tooth is taken so that the dental veneer can be made specifically for you. When your veneer is ready, the fit and color is checked before our dentists bond it to the tooth.
How do I care for my new tooth veneers?
Care for your new dental veneers just as you would your natural teeth. Brush twice a day and floss once a day and visit our office regularly for dental cleanings and exams.
